Create a fundraiser!

StoveTeam is engaging Spanish students around the world to raise awareness for the issue of open-fire cooking, and even fundraise to provide cookstoves!

Note: We are also happy to create your fundraiser for you and give you a link to send out. Contact us anytime at info@stoveteam.org or (541) 554-4638

  1. Click here to create your class fundraiser through our online system. This will create an online page for your fundraiser, and a link you can send out. Any funds received will go directly to StoveTeam, but you’ll be able to see your team’s total on your fundraiser page.

  2. Create an email message and/or social media post that students can send to parents and friends. Be sure to include a link to your fundraiser!

    • An example email you can use is included below, and photos are available for download at the bottom of this page.

    • Lesson 4 of our Spanish Unit also includes stories from other fundraisers, and (optional) creative ideas to promote your fundraiser like a bake sale, run-for-a-reason, walk for wood, ice water challenge, and many more.

  3. Once you create your fundraiser, StoveTeam will reach out to provide materials like promotional posters students can put up around school.

This week our Spanish class learned about a worldwide problem that hardly anyone knows about.

Around the world, four billion of the world’s poorest people still cook using dangerous open cooking fires inside their homes, and respiratory illness caused by open fire cooking kills four million people every year.

Luckily, StoveTeam International is working to save lives through the donation of cookstoves in Latin America. Each stove prevents kids from getting burned, eliminates smoke inhalation, saves trees, and transforms a kitchen into a place where a family can safely spend time together. 

StoveTeam has already distributed over 79,000 stoves in Latin America, changing the lives of over half a million people and saving nearly one million tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere! Their innovative model helps local entrepreneurs to start their own projects, so they can build and distribute stoves themselves using local labor and materials! We are hoping to change lives by contributing to this mission, and our goal is to raise at least $500 in the next week!
