I’m reaching out to help raise awareness for a worldwide problem that hardly anyone seems to know about yet.

Around the world, four billion of the world’s poorest people still cook using dangerous open cooking fires inside their homes, and respiratory illness caused by open fire cooking kills four million people every year.

Luckily, StoveTeam International is working to save lives through the donation of cookstoves in Latin America. Each stove prevents kids from getting burned, eliminates smoke inhalation, saves trees, and transforms a kitchen into a place where a family can safely spend time together. 

StoveTeam has already distributed over 79,000 stoves in Latin America, changing the lives of over half a million people and saving nearly one million tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere! Their innovative model helps local entrepreneurs to start their own projects, so they can build and distribute stoves themselves using local labor and materials! I am hoping to change lives by contributing to this mission, and my goal is to raise at least $500 in the next week! A gift of just $26 can provide safe cooking for one person, and $200 can provide a complete cookstove! Anyone can donate or share this fundraiser online or through email.
